Thsirt Printing 101: Curing Ink On Printed Shirts
Plastisol ink is a type of ink used for screen printing textiles. Plastisol inks are the most commonly used inks for printing designs on to garments, and are particularly useful for printing opaque graphics onto dark fabrics. Plastisol inks are not water-soluble. Because the ink is made up of PVC particles suspended in a plasticizing emulsion, the ink will not dry if left for extended periods of time. Plastisol inks are recommended for printing on colored fabric and on lighter fabric; plastisol is extremely opaque and can retain a bright image for many years. Plastisol inks will not dry, and need to be cured as a result. Curing the inks can be done with a flash dryer, or a belt oven. Most plastisol inks need to reach a temperature of about 330 degrees Fahrenheit before being fully cured. Plastisol tends to sit on top of the threads instead of soaking into them, giving the print a raised, plasticized texture. When printed through higher mesh counts, plastisol inks can produce a softer feel.
More often than not you will be approached different types of people just for donning the apparels. From those who relate to the product to those that are curious to know about the business, what line of business you deal in, what goods and services are offered. This gives you the chance to be able to explain to them the nature of your business and how to acquire your goods or services. On the other hand if they are already customers they could offer invaluable feedback on your products and service delivery and probable areas that need improvement.
The apparels also serve as uniforms for example in the case of a supermarket. This makes it easy for the customers to differentiate the employees from their fellow buyers. Good service delivery is therefore optimized.
The employees get to have a sense of togetherness every time they wear the attire. Whether it is the manager or just a mere store man, they get to have a good working relation at the workplace and even outside. The company or rather brand they represent serves as glue that binds them together. These results in a great working environment.
