Where Do You Start with Tshirt Printing?
The time has arrived. You just spent $15,000 on equipment and you have made a s screen. Now what do you do? What if you ruin a shirt? What if the ink washes off? What if the customer isn't happy? What if you put the print in the wrong location? Maybe this wasn't the business you wanted after all. Traumatic, isn't it!
Fortunately, you'll get over it – but these are the questions and problems that face beginning printers.
This article is about some basic fundamentals of making a print. These are things that beginners AND experienced printers need to know. Make sure your existing printers read this article. How many times has a printer told you how many years he has only to not be able to produce a salable shirt. Just because they have the title "screen printer" doesn't mean they are one!
There are many things which you would like to get in the market but you would feel better to keep some of them if they are customized. Some of them are t-shirts which you like to share to other people. Since you just encounter them at the shopping center, you do not have enough reason why you need to get them. However, when somebody takes an effort to buy a certain item and think about printing an image that you like, then, you feel that you are given so much value.
What makes sense about getting those items is that if you will desire to extend them to all the people close to your heart and let their favorite images be printed on those things. Your friend who is celebrating his birthday would desire to get a gift that is something unique so giving him a key with an imprint of his favorite sport is worth keeping for him. He will keep the item as long as he lives. You may also like to think about holding a family reunion but you have to be keen about the items you would desire to offer to others so think of getting a set of shirts. You have to seek for a custom imprint service that will mark the name of your clan on the shirts.
You can also do the same if you are spearheading a class reunion. Just ask your classmates what they want to get after the reunion so you can easily buy a bulk and send them to a printing company to customize them.

Now you are ready to go to press. We will assume that you are versed in the printing of a one color design; inking up the screen and flooding and stroking ink through the stencil onto the shirt with a squeegee. We will compare printing techniques later. For this part you will also need an understanding of how your particular press works. Get familiar with your press. Become friends with it. Name it, give it love for this machine you will be married to in a commercial business. The press can be your best friend and your worst enemy. Make sure your press is in good working order. Skimping on press maintenance and buying used equipment that is no longer in good shape is unwise. The better your press is, the easier it will be to print high quality prints quickly.
It is essential to find a printing company which offers custom imprint services. If you are decided to provide more customized products, then, you have to consider some essential tips in finding the right company.
Multi-Color Custom Tshirt Print Sequences: When printing multi-color prints on light shirts you generally print the lightest color to darkest color OR the smallest print area to the largest area. This sequence, along with the right ink viscosity will help minimize ink picking up on the screen bottoms. This is called build-up and is a common problem in multi-color printing. The easiest way to line-up screens on a multi-color print is to make a print of the outline or main color and just line-up the other screens to the print. Sure you may get a little ink on the bottom of the screen but guess what? It will wipe right off.
The first thing that you should know about is flexibility. All items which you wish to have an imprint should be accepted. They would do the job without haste so you never have to look for other printing companies to print other materials.
Another factor is the price. You have to get discounts as well if there are a lot of items that you like to be custom printed.
The quality of work has to be evaluated also. Hence, if you do not want a waste job, then, you should see samples of their work.
