just my .02, but I think you are wrong. I think you are wrong in
possiting the question as if assuming it is already a forgone
conclusion that this is truely an either/or situation. Why is it wrong
to view this as a both/an situation? Did God create history without
meaning and significance. Are we not to learn from our experiences?
Do not experiences, if we are honest, reveal the government of Truth?
That being said, no one is contesting that experiences can be
falsified. After all, Satan parades about as "an angel of light."
Thus discernment is call for in "testing the spirits." But this
presupposes that there is truth in experience.
Perhaps you are arguing from a pure theological pretext, in that God
prevents all experience. (pre- as in prior to) In that regard, Truth
is independent of experience for Truth (but then you didn't not
capitalize "truth" so as to formally assert its meaning) pre-exists all
of that which is outside of God and God "is the same yesterday, today
and tomorrow," for "the LORD does not change."
Which argument are you directing proposing. Are you presenting it from
a purely theological position or are you mixing in philosophical
concerns as well?
